When you are done changing the settings, click Export to save your GIF. You can include it in your HTML document as you would with any other picture. See the example here.
You can also animate text in a similar way, by adding one new word of text at a time. See an example here.
Animated GIFs can get quite large. To keep their size down, keep the number of frames small, keep the colors simple, and avoid moving large objects.
