CA++ is a piece of software that was written for PowerPC Macintoshes to research a couple of ecological cellular automata models. It models these two ecological systems as well as a few standard models (an expanded Life model, Greenberg-Hastings, and a Voter Model). The user can control several model specific parameters as well as the neighborhood size and shape, edge parameters, and grid size. Each of the models gives counts of certain statistics and can output some of this data to files.
For now, feel free to experiment with this program. At some point (if there is demand) I will provide documentation on the ecological models.
